NCERT selects 9 students from M'lore, Udupi

UDUPI : Nine students from Mangalore and Udupi have been selected by National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT) as national talent scholars for the year 2007. They will receive scholarships of Rs 500 every month till their PhD.

Namratha Pai (Mangalore), Avinash K (Kunjibettu), Harha Ampar (Udupi), Amogh M H, Vaishak Salin, Mridula Shetty, and Amith Vikram Pai (all from Brahmavar) are the students who got trained at MICE Udupi.

Speaking to reporters at a press meet here on September 11, NTSE/IIT-JEE Training and the National Talent Scholars Co-ordinator Severine Rosario said MICE has done a commendable job by providing a new avenue for the talented students of the region.

MICE Principal Supritha Amin, Administrator Gayathri Upadhya were present in the press meet.
